Tree Experience experiments with a new access control system

An access control system that simplifies internal administration, entrances and ticket sales. This is the project realized by Weconstudio for the Milan-Corvetto Tree Experience Adventure Park.

The adventure park you didn’t expect

Tree Experience Adventure Park is the first adventure park ever built in the city. The attraction is perfect for weekend getaways and for those who want to find some peace and contact with nature a stone’s throw from downtown Milan.

Walkways, Tibetan bridges, nets, jumps into the void, but also lianas and pulleys. The Tree Experience routes are adrenaline-filled and fun and are aimed at a wide audience of young and old alike. The park is suitable for everyone and does not require special physical requirements. It is fun and users vary from families to groups of friends, from lovers to stag parties.

The success of Tree Experience

Proximity to the city centre and an extended target group have been a winning combination for the adventure park, which over the years has gained notoriety and registered more and more entrances. From this, the need to contact Weconstudio, which has long been involved in designing management systems and online booking platforms.

Tree Experience has in fact decided to rely on the Braidese company for a platform that would allow the administration and users to easily manage bookings and admissions. Specifically, a ticketing system has been created, with printing of the receipt and the possibility of reloading the card to open turnstiles.

Create a customised access control system with Weconstudio

Following the requests of Tree Experience, Weconstudio has designed, realized and put into production the system for the adventure park by analyzing the functioning of the mechanical turnstiles currently provided in the structure.

By studying in depth the data exchange between the turnstiles in use and the old card reloading system, the technical team has designed a modern and advanced platform that includes:

• management of the administrative part, with attached option to modify ticket amounts, create new tickets and sell products through the system;
• opportunity to view statistics with access to the amusement park and order history;
• access to a section reserved to users with the possibility to load the passages according to the chosen ticket.

In fact, the technologies used for the construction of this system are as follows:

• Laravel PHP;
• Python;
• RabbitMQ;
• Vuejs.

Precisely, the architecture of the platform in question is based on a php framework plus interface developed inVueJs. In addition, it has been integrated with existing turnstiles, receipt receipts and rfid card reader.
