Delivery and lockdown: Tutaca in the wake of trends

Apps for home delivery are increasingly in demand. These platforms allow you to buy directly from the osteria or Japanese restaurant you prefer to take your meal home with you.

The mechanism tends to be the same for each site: it’s almost dinner time, open the app, choose what you want, order and wait for delivery. In theory, Tutaca works just like all other delivery apps, in practice it’s much more than that.

Tutaca is an internal project of Weconstudio and is a marketplace that connects customers directly with suppliers of goods and services of a territory. The app allows to receive home deliveries and allows merchants to sell products of various kinds, delivering them personally to the customer without worrying about payments. In fact, Weconstudio handles transactions instead of commercial activities with almost derisory commission costs.

Growth and Development

Tutaca officially debuts on March 21, 2020, in full Coronavirus emergency. In fact, the project was born from the determination to contribute, through the company’s own skills, to support traders and citizens during the lockdown. A project that, as predicted, was immediately very successful, seeing both supply and demand grow daily.

Since its launch, Tutaca has recorded around 1,500 downloads for Android and 1,000 for iOS. As far as social media are concerned, there are more than 2,000 followers for Facebook and over 1,000 for Instagram.

In just four months, Weconstudio has achieved considerable figures with more than 500 registered and active merchants in the supply of goods and services for a total of 50,000 total end-users.

Very important numbers when compared to the short existence and the territory in which this platform has been tested, which tends to be not very used to delivery. In Bra and the surrounding area, Tutaca continues to grow and has more than 7,000 orders.

Needless to say, everyone likes Tutaca. Hundreds of consumers and suppliers have chosen the application and continue to trust it because it is simple, intuitive and full of functionality.

Home delivery app? Weconstudio takes care of it

At the beginning of the quarantine the Covid-19 advances and the need to be able to receive groceries or a meal at home becomes urgent. In a race against time, the first release of Tutaca was released after only a week.

Weconstudio, in an intellectual effort of the management and the development team, has created the platform from scratch, thanks to the commitment and intense work of the whole team. In a short time it has architected UX/UI, payment methods and security, up to the management of orders. From that moment on, the activity never stopped and continued until the end of the lockdown and beyond.

The technologies used for the design are:

Moreover, it is interesting to underline that Tutaca was born almost by combination, thanks to a series of ingredients that Weconstudio has at its disposal:

  • intense R&D activity carried out on the Dahu product during 2019;
  • availability of a Virtual POS (℅ Banca Alpi Marittime) ready and configured for this type of transaction;
  • background in the world of online booking, e-ticketing and e-commerce.

Weconstudio has invested a lot of time and energy in this project which, fortunately, is very much appreciated and talked about. Many people have taken advantage of Tutaca and this goal confirms the company as a fixed point for the design of apps, booking portals and online management systems.

The invitation is to sign up for Tutaca and start ordering surprise dinners, flowers, wine, gifts of various kinds or basic necessities. The app will satisfy every request and in the same way, Weconstudio could be the solution to your digital ideas.
